It is an energy saving device which detects any movements / occupancy in its detection area and keeps the connected appliance ( like lights, fan etc) ON. It turns OFF the appliances when the detection area is vacant, there by saving considerable amount of energy. Using the Lux level setting provided in the unit, it is possible to set the unit to ON the lights when the ambient lux level falls below a desired lux level.
