1.Appearance:Copper sulfate pentahydrate is blue crystal. Density:2.284, melting point: 110A C. Water solubility:320G/L(20A C). Soluble in water, almost insoluble in alcohol. Water solution is acidic. Swallowing harmful. Irritating to respiratory system and skin.
2.Application:
a.It is used for the Fehling's solution and Bancroft reagent to test sugar.
b.It can also be used in biuret test to detect proteins.

d.Used as a textile mordant.In the Industry for the manufacture of dyes and pigments use to manufacture dyes and pigments which include copper single azo,such as reactive blue, reactive violet etc.
