Evaporative module
At the heart of the Cooling Pad is the evaporative module which is installed in an AHU or duct. Dry air passes through an absorbent glass fibre and ceramic composite matrix, picking up water vapour from its wetted surface. This process consumes very little energy, far less than steam or oven cold water atomisers.
Cooling Pad evaporative matrix has approximately twice the area of other commonly used materials. The matrix itself is therefore, thinner resulting in less pressure drop across the humidifer.
The Evaporative Module is constructed from compact matix cassettes.
These cassettes mean that units can be inexpensively built for a wide range of different duct sizes. They are available in three efficiencies, for differing duties.
