Cladiss-laser Modelling Software

CLADISS-Laser Modelling Software- CLADISS : A flexible and user friendly package running under MS-Windows. The model is capable of a wide variety of calculations - threshold analysis, DC light-current calculations, spectral response, small signal AC characteristics, noise characteristics and large signal time-domain modelling. Examples of its use are frequency tunable (multi-section) DBR and DFB lasers, external cavity lasers, chirped DBRs, C3 lasers. The program will model several longitudinal modes and provides self-consistent calculation of electron and photon profiles.

Highlights: General purpose laser diode simulator. Arbitrary multi-section structures. Threshold analyses, single and multi-mode. DC analysis. Amplified spontaneous emission spectra. Time domain analysis, with or without stochastic noise sources. Eye diagrams. Small-signal AM analysis. FM analysis to 3rd harmonic, for e.g. analog laser applications. Fast small signal noise analysis, including RIN spectra and linewidth calculation. Real or gain gratings or combinations of the two; chirped gratings.
