These is the Mark 3 circle absorber of B.O.C is usually transparent containing two chambers with three screens, one in top, one in bottom and the third acts as a divider in the central part. Central divider acts also as a baffle plate. Total air space in this canister is 1921cc; capacity is 1.8kg of sodalime; volume of sodalime is 1020cc and intergranular space is 900cc. In circle system carbon dioxide absorption initially starts at the inlet and then progressively along the sides. All canisters usually have a mark up to which the sodalime should be filled.
