NAVYUG" Brand Chill Rolls are double- poured, clear chill, Barrels hardness on the outer surface is 70A to 83A at shore hardness towards the bore is kept low. Special alloys are added to attain high tensile strength to guard against cracking of the barrel under normal working stresses.

Any chill depth upto 2\3rd of the thickness of the wall can be attained.The ideal chill depths relevant to the outer dia and the size of the bore, we however claim that "YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO GIVE UP OUR BARRELS FOR WANT OF CHILL DEPTH.

Nickel chromium and molydenum are added to make the rolls long-lastant resistant to wear and heat cracks. The outer chilled hard, fine-grained zone gives excellent finish to the end product.

Through our special technique of casting, we have eleminated any chance of pin-points, below holes or porousity.

The barrels are fitted with steel shafts which can stands much higher stresses, compared to iron rolls casted with shafts which have a great tendency to back at the neck.
