Chemtol: is a concentrated combustion improver for heavy fuel oils. Chemtol 31 has also fuel-conditioning properties.

Product Properties

The catalyst in product reacts with heavy fuel oil particle during combustion. The fuel ignition temperature is reduced, resulting in increased combustion efficiency with less carbon left to form smoke and soot. Engine and exhaust system are kept cleaner with longer service life and less maintenance.

Anti polymerization agents inhibits sludge formation, while dispersants stabilize the fuel. This results in cleaner fuel system and better fuel flow, giving improved fuel automisation and greater combustion efficiently. The conversion of fuel sulphur to potentially corrosive sulphur tri oxide gas is also inhibited.

Direction for use and dose rate

Chemtol: is completely oil soluble. Chemtol 31 can be added directly to the setting tank or better still, Chemtol 31 should be dosed automatically using a metering pump to dose into the fuel feed lines as near to the injector. Where fuel analysis for Micro Carbon Residue [MCR] is available, dose according to the table below

If no analysis is available then use an initial dose rate of 1:2500 and adjust according to results obtained.
