Cfi Silo

FLSmidth has recently developed the
CFI Controlled Flow Inverted cone silo
for cement and related products. The
design of the CFI storage silo is based
on experience gained with the CF
(Controlled Flow) raw meal blending
and storage silo.

The keyword in developing the CFI silo
is reliability. The challenge is to ensure
that the silo empties 100 per cent, while
minimising the specific power consump-
tion for aeration. The CFI meets this

challenge in the following way:

Only minor parts of the bottom
are aerated at the same time.
