DESCRIPTION

CEKOL Cellulose Gum is a water-soluble polymer derived from wood and cotton cellulose by introducing carboxymethyl groups on the cellulose backbone. The formed anionic cellulose molecule hydrates and dissolves readily in water. CEKOL is refined to minimum 99.5% purity. CEKOL has the ability to impart viscosity to aqueous solutions. CEKOL is pseudoplastic by nature and can have either thixotropic or non-thixotropic rheology.

CEKOL 2000 meets the purity requirements for cellulose gum or sodium carboxy methyl cellulose, as prescribed by FAO/WHO, the European Union, the FDA and the Food Chemicals Codex.

CEKOL is known for its excellent water retaining and film forming capacity.

It has the ability to achieve the desired rheology for any aqueous system, including suspensions and emulsions.

With regard to CEKOL being used in dental industry, it has been optimized to provide the highest value of the commercially available binder types. CEKOL has excellent water binding properties and a rich, thick mouthfeel. Its versatility allows the products to be used in a wide variety of formulation, offering the manufacturer formulation robustness and process tolerance across a product line and manufacturing condition
