Use: Before PD and AC test, strip outer sheath, armored steel tape, and copper tape shielding layers, then strip semi conduct shielding layer with special tool. Copper tape shielding layer stripped length is 100mm more than semi conduct shielding.
Two terminals of test cable is put inside oil cup terminal. When installing near terminal (HV end), push the copper nail upward to ensure good contact of copper nail and cable conduct wire. At far terminal, insert the tested cable into cup bottom. Note: transformer oil (or other insulation material) shall immerse fully the stripping surface of outer semi conduct layer. This is to avoid discharge.
For 35kV cable, there is a stress cone for making better electric field. Please make sure fixing cable frame shall be 30 mm above outer shielding layer stripped surface. Then take out the grounding wire of stress cone, and connect it with grounding cable outside.
Clean the oil cup surface, connect the HV conduct wire with fast connector to near terminal (near terminal cup), and test can be done now.
