WIRE ROPE:-
Round 3/4-inch wire cables are pre-stretched during manufacturing to reduce stretching during impact. They are interwoven around special steel posts and securely anchored to the ground at each end. The wire cables consist of three strands (seven wires per strand) and have a minimum tensile strength of 110 kN. Each pre-stretched wire rope is highly tensioned, and with the three strand weave creates high post/cable friction. This causes each post to act as a a mini-anchor,a which helps limit the extent of damage during impacts. These cable barriers assure satisfactory performance even around tight curves.
