Series of North American burners can be used both for oil and gas. For oil firing (two) air ports are given , one for the combustion air and other for atomising air. The oil is fed at a pressure of 25 to 30 psi and is atomised by atomising air. the oil particles comes out as mist which then again broken by combustion air, so burning all the fuel without any CO formation.

The switching from oil to gas operation can be changed quickly by closing one fuel valve and opening the other.

Low air pressure Gas fired burners are more efficient. The burner nozzle mix air and gas. The fuel gas gives a stable and smokeless combustion. The Gas firing can be adusted with regulating wheel provided at the back of the burner.
