Curtain Wall a This is a form of a vertical building enclosure which supports its own weight and the environmental forces which act upon it. Curtain walls are of three types-
- Structural glazing - Unitized a This is preferred by architects as no aluminium sections are visible from the exterior, only glass or infill material is bonded to the aluminium frames by structural sealants.
- Structural glazing - Semi Unitized a It is a combination of the conventional aluminum cover profile on the two opposite sides of the glass panel with the frame less structural glazing on the other two opposite sides.
- Conventional stick system a It is a conventional aluminum cover profile that frames the glass panel from its four sides. In this system 90% of the work can be done at site.
