Battery discharge resistor unit offered by us is assembled from copper- nickel alloy wire grid elements supported on M.S. tie rods and insulated using ceramic formers Mica tube and Mica washers. This unit is used mainly to periodically test the performance of station batteries. This test is useful in detecting the defective cells and avoid deterioration of battery system; ensuring smooth operation and improving the life of battery system. The user of this unit can control and monitor the rate of discharge. During the discharge operations a constant current against falling voltage can be maintained with adequate trimming facility of resistor bank. For switching purpose buyers can opt any one from different switch options- D.C. Contractors/circuit breakers or knife edge switch.
