We are engaged in exporting, importing, distributing and supplying of bananas in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The banana is an edible fruit, botanically a berry, produced by several kinds of large herbaceous, flowering plants in the genus Musa. The scientific names of most cultivated bananas are Musa acuminata, Musa balbisiana, and Musa A paradisiaca for the hybrid Musa acuminata A M. balbisiana, depending on their genomic constitution. The old scientific name Musa sapientum is no longer used. Raw bananas are 75% water, 23% carbohydrates, including 12% sugars, 1% protein and 0.3% fat, providing 89 Calories (kcal) per 100 gram amount (table). Bananas are an excellent source (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) of vitamin B6 (31% DV) and contain moderate amounts of manganese (13% DV), vitamin C and dietary fiber (10% DV each, table). Bananas are a staple starch for many tropical populations. Depending upon cultivar and ripeness, the flesh can vary in taste from starchy to sweet, and texture from firm to mushy.
