Axial fixing ring is used in Traction Motors of Locomotives in Indian Railways. It is used at the end of the traction shaft of traction motor for its sealing assembly. This precision turned component is made from S355J2G3 grade steel. These are made on state of art CNC Turn-Mill centres so that all the geometrical, dimensional and relational parameters and accuracies are maintained. Final inspection is done on in-house Co-ordinate measuring machine (CMM).
