VH-1168 is a single-use Heat and moisture exchange protecting tracheostomized patients from heat and humidity loss resulting from breathing through artificial airways which bypass the mouth, nose, and pharynx. The translucent moulded plastic housing contains a hygroscopic material that traps the heat and moisture from the expired air and returns it to the inspired air. Device must be replaced every 24 hours or as needed to prevent accumulation of secretion.
