Athril is indicated as add on medication and as single medication in patients who
suffer from reumatic diseases of the joints (osteoarthritis, reumatoide arthritis)
and reumatic diseases of the soft tissues (fibromyalgia, polymyalgia reumatica,
polymyositis, dermatomyositis).

Treatment Guidelines and Doses
Increase the dose every 4 weeks based upon the disease condition.
1. Low dose : 2 capsules daily (1 morning 1 evening)
2. Increased dose : 4 capsules daily (2 morning 2 evening)
Arthril is composed of plant extracts. Its maximum effect can be expected after 4
weeks of uninterrupted use. Simultaneous use of Arthril capsule and Arthril
liniment gives a better result.

Mode of Action:
Inhibits cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase enzymes, leading to reduced
prostaglandin and leukotriene productions.
Inhibits inducible nitric oxide synthetase, leading to reduction of nitric oxide (an inflammatory marker).
Decreases migration of white blood cells.
Inhibits the release of lysosomal enzymes hyaluronidase and glucuronidase.
Anti oxidant effect.
