Anodizing plants are used for the anodic oxidation of metal surfaces for the purpose of corrosion protection, especially for aluminum. Aluminum normally has a thin, protective finish which is created when the metal contacts the air. Heating, cleaning and contact with acidic substances can disintegrate this protective skin, so anodizing is required. It also provides a superior luster to the various parts.
