The Model AGT-212 Air Gap Transducer is a high accuracy, high linearity and high stability non-contacting capacitive measuring transducer system. Thanks its very low profile design, the sensor can be mounted on the stator wall of generator and electri-cal motor having an air gap in the range of 2 to 12 mm.

The noncontact capacitive type sensor measures the distance between its surface and a target using the capacitive measuring principle.
The transducer system consists of an AGS-212 sen-sor with integral flexible triaxial cable (~1.5m) termi-nated by a small 5mm coaxial connector. The triaxial cable is protected on its entire length by a flexible polyamide conduit plugged to an adapter module terminated by integral three core shielded cable (length eight (8) meters) with a four (4) pole connect-or. A flexible metallic conduit protects the transmis-sion cable on its entire length. A four (4) pole con-nector allows the connection to an AGC-212 condi-tioning unit providing the high frequency signal gen-eration for the sensor, signal processing and lineari-zation.
