The principle of operation of this unique technology is to electrically pre-charge the incoming air before it passes through the filter. Technically known as a diffusion charginga , ionizing particulate matter in the air just prior to filtering dramatically improves the capture efficiency of any filter. Especially for the sub-micron particles which are always the hardest to filter. Contaminates as small as 0.01 micron are removed. This converts the filter media into an electrostatic magnet trapping contaminants like dust, smoke and biological pollutants such as bacteria, viruses and mold.
No major change or alteration is required to the existing air handling/ air filter system. The electrode assembly has to be simply installed in the air duct, upstream of the filter itself and connected to the power pack.
