It can be given to the adults in the following dosages. The usual adult of Cefixime (anhydrous) is 200 mg per day administered orally, either as a single dose or in two divided doses, although lower doses may prove sufficient to treat uncomplicated urinary tract infections.

USES: Cefixime is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu).
