TOPIC : How to attract buyers using the right sales terms

It is always important that you use the right terms when marketing your product to potential buyers. The right terminology may mean increased enquiries for your product and possibly more sales.

Many people have told me that you ought to give the customer something free to persuade him to buy your product and not those of your competition. It could be free advice, a free report or another product of lesser value. But the free offer must be tied to the buying of the product otherwise you may not make substantial sales.

Do you agree with this?

Dear Mr.Sharma,

Your topic is interesting.

In retail sales, the free meal theory works. But in Industrial supply, it doesn't at all. Which I would like to bring to your attention.

As a wise buyer, one should know that there is nothing like free meal in this world. If you are offering anything free with something, you will covering the expenses in the main product.

But most of the buyers in retail market are innocent and do not understand the market policy of businessman like us. So your feelgood policy works.

Dear Mr. Neeraj,

I fully agree with you. Unless customer have some firm benefits in front of them (may be short term benefit or long term benefit), they will not take any interest in the product/services. The selling terms of accepting/approaching benefits, from short term to long term changes when the sale move up in hierarchy.

Thanks & Best regards,

Dear Participants,

How to attract people and bring them into our business fold? It is an important aspect of marketing and salesmanship.

I wish to request you to observe the common market where Catch Phrases and Catch words rule the market. I have observed many slogans or catch words are powerful in bringing people into a common movement, say right from "VantheMatharam".

Needless to say about Kharibi Hatao, Jai jawan Jai Kishan and many more in political movements where there is a need to bring more and more people into the fold: It is political business!
Likewise, there are many slogans, catch phrases in real commodity business.

Catch words are life lines in any marketing and sales promotion activity. These need not be always offering a cut in the price and free with the products. It is most attractive any how ,as people always wish to win a gift for self satisfaction.

But the catchword should necessarily be short and all about the benefits to the society like quality and quantity, comfort and easiness.

I have observed and researched into this aspect and it is highly successful with the concept of EKS: Energo Cybernetic strategy of German origin. It deals all about converting people's energy in support of the product, service, concept or cause by suitable words or slogans and winning in the business war!

This is highly suitable to India and all the businesses are running with or without the knowledge that they are adopting these principles most vigorously!
