TOPIC : Do customers reply to traders' mails?

My question is: I am a trader and I know there are many manufactures who have emails and all infrastructure needed to boost the sales of their products. But we being a trader do customers directly approach manufactures or traders?
Do you feel customers do reply to traders' on email and try to place a trial order for the same?
