The film is made from polyester, a kind of polymer resin. Polyester is a highly adaptable plastic film that possesses excellent optical, physical, mechanical, thermal, and chemical characteristics. 7. PET Release Film

8. PETG Heat Shrink Film 

GPET (Glycol-modified Polyethylene Terephthalate) film, also known as PETG HEAT Shrink Film, is another name for this material. This plastic film is an amorphous polyester, meaning it lacks a crystalline structure. Polymerization through condensate yields TPA, EG, and CHDM as its constituents. When it comes to heat resistance and shrinking, nothing beats PETG Heat Shrink Film.

Between 70 and 80 degrees Celsius, it begins to shrink. Up to 80% reduction is possible.

9. Black Polyester Film 

A unique black color masterbatch is used to create the black polyester film. (BOPET film with a dyed chip) It has excellent heat stability, mechanical properties, and black coverage. Insulation, application, light-shielding, and shading tape are all common uses. Recommended thicknesses are 50 u, 75 u, 100 u, 125 u, 150 u, 175 u, 188 u, 250 u, and 300 u.

Things to Consider Before Selecting a Polyester Film


1. Utilization

How high-end is the app? Medical packaging is high-end, whereas flexible duct polyester film is low-end.

2. Width

6. Friction:

Handling might affect a film's profitability. Internal (fillers) and exterior (topical, therapy), surface alterations, and coextrusions can influence COF.

7. Elongation

Most polyester film is 90 to 110 percent MD and TD. When tensile strength is modified, production rates and forward draw manufacturing units that create a sensitized film for the magnetic and thermal transfer ribbon industries are slower and more expensive.
