Q. Why is albumin injection prescribed to patients?

Albumin injection is used when a patient is suffering from low blood volume (hypovolemia) and low albumin levels in the blood. The injection is also frequently used in critical burns, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), kidney problems, dialysis, acute liver failure and after bypass surgery.
