Q. Who was the inventor of the toothpaste dispenser?
Answer
In the 1890s, a dentist named Dr. Washington Wentworth Scheffield from New London, Connecticut came up with the concept of putting toothpaste in a metal tube so that it could be dispensed. Henkel was the first company to advertise its toothpaste in the form of a pump in West Germany. In 1984, the product was introduced to the market in the United States. Marks & Spencer in the United Kingdom was the company that introduced the first toothpaste pump to the market in the year 1982. Soon after that, both Unilever and Colgate started promoting the toothpaste pumps that they produced.
