Nissan's high-end brand Infiniti is a premium automobile brand manufactured in Japan. On November 8th 1989 Infiniti opened its doors for business in the North American market. In the decade of the 2010s Infiniti used a network of more than 50 international dealerships to spread awareness of the brand. New-vehicle dealerships were present in 25 different areas by the year 2020. North America China and the Middle East are the primary markets. The Plaza Accord of 1985 was a major inspiration for Nissan to create the Infiniti brand in the United States in 1989 with the goal of appealing to affluent buyers who might not be interested in Nissan's more popular vehicles.
