There are many adhesives used in foam tapes. Acrylic adhesives create a permanent bond as they are prepared by mixing two or more components. Hot melt tapes become sticky after applying heat.  Pressure sensitive tapes are sticky even at room temperature and adhere firmly with light pressure on a variety of surfaces. Rubber based adhesive tape provides flexible bonds and silicon adhesives are highly flexible and can resist even high temperatures.
