While using the water bath, the following precautions must be observed else accidents could occur:Do not heat a bath fluid above its flashpoint. The water level should be strictly monitored, and only distilled water should be used.If the application has liquid that gives fumes, use a fume hood or work in a well-ventilated area. The cover should be closed to prevent evaporation and help reach high temperatures. The markers in the water bath come off quickly.
