Q. What is the mechanism of the toothpaste dispenser?
Answer
Manual toothpaste dispensers make up the vast bulk of those sold in stores today. To remove toothpaste from its tube a manual mechanical pump is used. The silicone container that houses the manual pump has two silicone valves that only allow flow in one direction. When the user squeezes the rubber container the toothpaste that is buffered in the container is released to the user. When the rubber jar is released the flexibility of the container causes suction which pumps the toothpaste out of the tube. Electrical toothpaste dispensers like the ones that are now on the market usually distribute the same quantity of toothpaste each and every time and the amount that is dispensed cannot be changed by the user.
