Q. What is the difference between traditional and ethnic wear?
Answer
Traditional garb is suitable for both everyday life and formal events. Some examples of women's traditional ethnic wear are saree, salwar, kameez, churidar, lehenga, etc. Women in the north of the country like to wear salwar kameez, while those in the south choose saris. In their own ways, western fashion and traditional ethnic garb are both remarkable. Although most modern women feel most at ease in Western styles, some enjoy the freedom of expression afforded by Ethnic garb. To choose a winner would be an unfair comparison. In most circumstances, though, one's attire is determined by the event itself. The culture and heritage of our nation, however, cannot be rationalized by wearing Western clothing.
