Q. What is the difference between Monel & Inconel?
Answer
Monel is nickel-copper based alloy with 52-67% nickel content, whereas Inconel is nickel-chromium based superalloy with 72% nickel content. Inconel is used in aerospace, oil & refineries, marine applications, whereas Monel is used in high-temperature fasteners, gas turbine blades, seals etc.
