Q. What is the difference between Hot Rolled Sheets and Cold Rolled Sheets?
Answer
In the processes, steel undergoes heating at high temperature till the steel reaches recrystallization temperature. In this method, the process is not delayed. However, cold rolled sheet undergoes further process by cooling it off under room temperature in a reduction mill. The cooling process is followed by annealing and tempering of the metal. Cold rolling also involves cold drawing, turning, grinding, and polishing.
