Q. What are the uses of phenol formaldehyde resins?
Answer
Phenol formaldehyde resins are impregnated with paper to produce laminates for countertops and wooden furniture (plywood etc) for protection and decoration. Also it is used as a binder in brake pads and shoes; used in the making of electrical components and billiard balls.
