Q. What are the different types of rapier loom?

There are two basic types of rapier loom:Single Rapier looms: These devices employ a single stiff rapier. A metal or composite bar with a circular cross-section is typical of the stiff rapier. As it retracts the rapier Double rapier looms: In these machines two rapiers are used. The filling yarn is pulled from an accumulator on one side of the weaving machine by one rapier called the giver and then passed to another rapier called the taker in the machine's center. The taker pulls back and crosses over the filling yarn.
