Generally speaking these plastic carpets are manufactured by recycling used plastic. Old plastic bottles such as cold drinks mineral bottles or any other form of recyclable plastic are used to create these fibers for weaving the plastic carpet. Whether plastic fibers are safe or not is a matter of perspective. One is never sure about the quality of these recyclable plastics. For a safe plastic carpet always insist on buying from those manufacturers that have been certified for the correct recycling of the plastic product.
