When you're in a rush you often purchase storage containers like these which are useless in your kitchen. For instance if you must store grains in big containers but only have access to smaller containers you should instantly and without hesitation switch them out. Alternately if you do have containers that have a poor appearance in terms of texture and are hard to wash you should immediately replace them and bring the containers that you want to use. It is essential to get new containers if you have been using ones that are older than several years. If vegetables or food are stored in old plastic containers they soon get rotten owing to the putrid stench that is produced by the containers. In general containers that are more than five years old need to be replaced. If this is not the case you should not keep any food in these containers.
