Q. How does a precision coil spring works?

Answer

It is made of an elastic metal in helix shape. When applied torque the spring bents either increasing or reducing the helical radius. It bents but simultaneously makes efforts to return back to original shape. Best examples are: innerspring mattress upholstery computer keyboards etc.
