Q. How does a defoamer work?
Answer
Adefoamer is insoluble in the foaming medium. It contains surface active properties thattrigger rupture of the air bubbles and breakdown of surface foam. Hence, entrained air bubbles are collected while the larger bubbles rise to the surface of the liquid.
