Follow the steps:1. Put a cup of water into a small saucepan and set it over medium heat.2. Turn the terminals clockwise on the thermostat switch and submerge them in the sauce.3. Observe the rising temperature with the thermometer by placing it in the saucepan.4. The thermostat's resistance can be measured by connecting one ohmmeter probe to one of its terminals and the other probe to the other terminal.5. Bring the water to a simmer and turn on the heat.6. The ohmmeter reading should flip to zero and the switch should activate when the water temperature reaches between 180 and 220 degrees Fahrenheit.
