Q. How are rack bolts installed?

First mark the position. Determine where you want to place the rack bolt on the inside or outside of the door. Use a tape measure to find the center in the middle of the door and mark it with a pencil. Then at the height of the bolt draw another line that crosses the center point. Get the right drill bit and attach it to your drill with a marking on the height you measured earlier. Drill the hole next and attach the rack bolt. Admittedly this is a tedious task and is best if done by a professional.
