Q. Explain ceramic tiles.
Answer
Ceramic tile is made from clay minerals and water. It is then pressed into a tile shape and fired in a kiln. There are two layers of ceramic tiles- the bisque or the body of the tile and the glaze the top layer consisting of the tile color and pattern. Ceramic tiles are durable and it is waterproof when glazed. It is not suitable for outdoor use as it is porous.
