Transmission housing of rolling mill is heavy duty rigid steel frame structure manufactured using medium carbon steel plate
Transmission gear train is helical gear type that comes with taper roller bearing at both the ends
All the stands of the rolling mill are coupled to a common gear train of fixed reduction sequence
The drive to the rolling mill is by 300 HP DC motor through suitable reduction gear box
A spline coupling couples the rolling stand to the gear train
In between each stand, an anti cobbling device is provided
To circulate coolant at each stand, a common header is also provided
A coolant return line is provided at the base of the rolling mill that can be connected to the return line with the help of heat exchanger
