Tolmetin is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by breakdown of the lining of the joints), rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused due to destruction of the lining of the joints by the bodyi? s own immune system), and juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis seen in children 2 years of age and older).

How it works

Tolmetin belongs to a class of medications called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It acts by stopping the production of chemicals (prostaglandin, histamine, etc.) that cause pain, redness and swelling of joints.
