You are buying starch or modified starch for corrugation and pasting and make adhesive slurry of by adding water.
Most of the starches that you buy are adulterated by adding cheap fillers like Clay or soap stone powder to reduce the cost. They sell these cheaper fillers which cost them about Rs.8/- per kgs at a price of Starches which cost about Rs. 32/- to Rs. 35/- per kgs.
You can verify this fact. Just prepare adhesive slurry with the starch that you buy now and keep it for one or two days. Slurry will not be of honey colour but will be of whitish brown colour due to filler adulteration. These fillers tends to settle at the bottom which you can observe in the test after keeping it for one or two days.
These adulteration with cheap filler not only damage machine and rollers and require frequent clean-up but it also mean cheating.
