An ergonomically designed device, Sonic Stim can be used for home and ambulatory treatment separately for both general pain relief, for the typical applications of 1 MHz ultrasound (deep tissue treatment of muscle pain) and in combined mode to dramatically amplify the effects of both therapies. This combines two different forms of pain therapy such as TENS that helps the body to release natural painkillers (called endorphins), and by blocking pain signals to the brain. The other one is Ultrasound which is a deep heating modality that is most effective in heating tissues of deep joints.
Three major effects of Ultrasound are:
- High Speed Ultrasound Vibration creates a massage effect on surface skin or deeper tissue (such as muscle) to reduce tension and alleviate pain. This effect can also promote healing
- The Heat Efficacy heat is produced by vigorous friction of the modules in speed vibration. This heat supplies energy to human cells and speeds metabolism
- The Cavitation Ultrasound waves cause liquid on the skin to form a vacuum. In this vacuum state, gas rapidly vaporizes and emits tiny bubbles. These bubbles initiate oxidation process which has the ability to decrease damaged particles in the body.
