In kyphoplasty, a balloon is first inserted into the fractured bone through a hollow needle to create a cavity or space. The cement is injected into the cavity once the balloon is removed. In surgery, it takes doctor 3-5min. or even longer to monitor the condition when injecting contrast medium into balloon and injecting bone cement into vertebra body. Scope of Application:
The product is designed for percutaneous vertebroplasty/PVP and percutaneous kyphoplasty/PKP surgeries in which the doctor can operate in the control room or behind the safety glass, i.e. from a long distance, to inject the contract agent or bone cement to avoid or diminish the risk of radiation.
