We are a specialist supplier to industrial ammonia (R717) refrigeration plants: cold storages, ice plants, dairies, breweries, food processors and seafood and IQF plants, as well as refrigeration contractors and dealers. Our aim is simple: everything an ammonia refrigeration plant needs, from one specialist supplier.

Our history

• 1968: founded by the late Shri Dharam Pal Maini as a single-product unit making SUPER brand valves.
• 1970: set up a manufacturing unit for cast-iron ammonia valves.
• 1980s and 1990s: added slow-speed and high-speed compressors, evaporators, pressure vessels, condensers and allied equipment to the range we supply.
• 2000 onwards: delivered turnkey ammonia plants in India and abroad (Middle East, Bangladesh and Nepal), opened a bigger head office in Delhi and grew the dealer network to 40 dealers in India and abroad.
• Today: a modernised plant with CNC machines in Sonipat; all types of ammonia controls added to the range we supply; and partnerships that widen our range of ammonia equipment.

SUPER developed the first flanged cast-iron Y-type valve made in India. The business is now in its third generation.

What we manufactureOur group manufactures valves only. SUPER 1968 valves are made by our group's manufacturing unit at Rai, Sonipat, where they are machined in-house on CNC machines. SUPER REFRIGERATION (INDIA) PVT. LTD. is the group's sales company. The SUPER 1968 range covers shut-off (globe and angle) valves, hand expansion and regulating valves, check valves, strainers including the Y-type, safety relief valves and dual relief manifolds, gauge valves, tee valves, quick-closing oil drain valves and weldable flanges. Bodies are closed-grain cast iron or lost-wax cast steel, with screwed, flanged or socket-weld ends, for R717 (ammonia), R744 (CO2), HCFC and HFC service.

What we supplyAlongside our valves we supply a traded range for ammonia and other refrigeration plants: solenoid valves, regulators and level controls, compressors and compressor spares, condensers, evaporators, air cooling units, pressure vessels, liquid ammonia pumps, instruments and controllers, ice-plant equipment and cold-storage equipment.
