PCNL / Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy

Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy Surgery, is the most suitable procedure to remove stones from the kidney. Basically it is used to get rid of stones of more than 2 cm size, which are existing near the pelvic region. One advantage of PCNL Surgery is that it is very effective method for ensuring a patient is stone-free. Also, it mixes both urology and radiology together so as to bring effective results. Though this Specialized Surgery involves an incision, it is less invasive as compared to a full-open surgery.

Because Kidney Stone Treatment by PCNL is among the more complex surgeries, it is executed by specialized surgeons who are well-trained. And due to the complexity the procedure takes 20 to 45 minutes to complete.
